About the site

Fishmart is an artsite that's been running since 2003. It was originally called Tsumaranai which means "boring" in japanese but I decided to change it because 1) people just didn't remember it, 2) no one knew what it meant and it took too long to explain, and 3) it was getting boring (ha. ha. literally). And so after almost 4 years of unrelenting loyalty to my site name, I decided to change the name to Fishmart. The name Fishmart came about because I really love fishsticks and I liked these japanese deli markets called Jasmart/Sunrise Mart. So I combined their names and *tada* FISHMART is alive!

So, I started from scratch months ago and I'm already on my second layout of Fishmart. It's cleaner and easier to update so hopefully I'll be able to add more stuff more frequently!
